LawShaw Merritt The New Pace Of America

LawShaw Merritt an Olympic newcomer will like to make it big this August in Beijing.
Merritt came to limelight as forceful contender for Olympic Games in the 400m after his series of dazzling performances internationally in 2007.

Merritts Beijing dream became a reality when he defeated two-time world champion Jeremy Wariner in the final to finish first in Olympic qualifications. This defeat has given way to a new rivalry on track and field between Wariner and Merritt. Trails were the second time in 2008 that Merritt had crushed Wariner. Last time Merritt defeated him in Berlin in June. Though Wariner had a consolidation in Rome, but one-hundredth of a second was just too little margin for celebration.

In the World Outdoor Championships in Osaka (2007,) which were won by Olympic Champion Jeremy Wariner, Merritt ended second in the 400m, but won gold with Wariner on the 4x400 relay. It was just one-hundredth of the second which separated Merritt from the crown of USA Outdoor Championships in same year.
