With a building area of 31, 850 sq m, Shuni Olympic Rowing -
Canoeing Park in Shunyi district has the largest surface area of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games venues.

The park will act the host for Rowing, Canoe/Kayak (Flat water/Slalom), Marathon Swimming and will be the place where 32 gold medals will see the necks of new Olympic Champions.

Shuni will be accommodating 37,000 spectators with 1,200 permanent seats. This is world’s only rowing-canoeing facility which has both flat water and slalom courses.

With a huge forest cover the park has a natural oxygen bar. The Shunyi Park has a 6.35 million sq m of water surface which is accompanied by a 5.8 million sq m, of green area. The water supply to park comes from Chaobai River.

After the games the place will be transformed into a high end resort for swimming and recreation the first of its kind in northeast Beijing.
